STORY: Set in New York City, the show focuses on the friendship between best friends Will Truman (Eric McCormack), a gay lawyer, and Grace Adler (Debra Messing), a straight interior designer.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 1: Will (Eric McCormack) is a gay man who is a successful corporate lawyer and attended Columbia University, where he met Grace as a freshman; they have been best friends ever since. Even though Will is gay, he sometimes tries to pass as straight; he has avoided admitting his sexual orientation to people. His love interests include Michael (Chris Potter), Scott Sender (Branden Brent Williams), Matthew (Patrick Dempsey), James Hanson (Taye Diggs), Vince D'Angelo (Bobby Cannavale), and news anchor McCoy Whitman (Matt Bomer). The latter seems the best for Will, as they profess their love for each other. However, that happy ending is cut short when McCoy is sent abroad.

He has worked as a struggling actor, acting instructor, backing dancer for Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson, Jack made four one-man shows (named Just Jack, Jack 2000, Jack 2001 and Jack 2002) to showcase his singing /dance/ acting ability; all attempts have only marginal success.
