UNCOUPLED is an American romantic comedy television series created and written by Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman that premiered on Netflix on July 29, 2022. UNCOUPLED consists of 8 episodes of 30 minutes.

STORY: The series stars Neil Patrick Harris as a newly single gay Manhattanite navigating the dating scene for the first time in 17 years after getting abruptly dumped by his long-term partner. As he adjusts to being single in his late 40s, he discovers that the gay dating environment has changed while he was in a relationship, and he rapidly realizes that in order to not be single forever, he must take action.

GAY COUPLES STORYLINE: Colin McKenna (Tuc Watkins) is Michael Lawson's ex (Neil Patrick Harris) of 17 years. Michael’s trying his best to move on from Colin by pick up single men in fancy nightclubs with loud music. His friends Stanley James (Brooks Ahsmanskas) and Billy Burns (Emerson Brooks) push him to get back on Grindr and meet new people.

The consensus is that Michael does not understand the new norms of relationships.
