THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY

THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY is an American superhero streaming television series based on the comic book series of the same name written by Gerard Way. Created for Netflix by Steve Blackman and developed by Jeremy Slater. THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY consists of 36 episodes of 1 hour.

STORY: The Umbrella Academy is set in a universe where 43 women around the world give birth simultaneously at noon on October 1, 1989, despite none of them showing any sign of pregnancy until labour began. Seven of the kids are adopted by eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) and transformed into a superhero team he calls "The Umbrella Academy." Hargreeves gives the kids numbers instead of names, but in the end they are referred to by their robot mother Grace.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Klaus Hargreeves / The Séance / Number Four (Robert Sheehan) is a flamboyant drug and alcohol addict who can communicate with the dead and make them temporarily physical. Dave (Cody Ray Thompson) is Klaus' boyfriend during the Vietnam War in Season 1.
