TRUE BLOOD is an American fantasy horror drama television series produced and created by Alan Ball. It is based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries, a series of novels by Charlaine Harris. TRUE BLOOD consists of 81 episodes of 55 minutes.
STORY: The series revolves around Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress who lives in the fictional rural town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. It is set two years after the invention of a "True Blood" branded synthetic blood product that allows vampires to "come out of the coffin" and make their presence known to humanity. Sookie's world is turned upside down when she falls in love with 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). The vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) is born in Sweden in 900 AD, during the Anglo-Saxon period he turned in 930AD, making him over 1000 years old. He is the Vampire Sheriff of Louisiana ‘s area 5, which encompasses the small town of Bon Temps, Eric owns the vampire bar Fantasia in the neighbouring town Shreveport. Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) is the brother of the protagonist Sookie Stackhouse. Jason is a sheriff deputy working for the Bon Temps Police Station, He is a womanizer and former member of Fellowship of the Sun. Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) was the former vampire King of Mississippi, an almost 3000 years old ancient vampire who was formerly a Chancellor of the newly reformed Vampire Authority. Talbot Angelis (Theo Alexander) was a prince of Greece. Talbot Angelis was supposed to be in an arrange marriage because his father was forcing him to be in one. Talbot run away from home because he didn’t want to deal with marriage. He ran across Russell Edgington in an alley-way, while he was feeding someone. Russell fell in a deep infatuation with Talbot and Talbot fell in love.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 1: Lafayette Reynolds (Nelson Ellis) is a chef at Merlotte's. Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) works as a nurse for Lafayette's mother. Lafayette begins to explore Wicca with his fellow lover/witch Jesus. When Jesus helps fight Marnie (Fiona Shaw), her spirit returns and possesses Lafayette to avenge her death and take over Jesus' powers. While holding possession in Lafayette, she kills Jesus and licks his blood to transfer Jesus' inner demon to Lafayette's body.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 2: In Jason's (Ryan Kwanten) subconscious, he's had sexually feelings for Eric in ways of really admiring Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) from afar: Like if I was vampire, that's the kind of vampire I'd be. So then Eric gets kind of rough with Jason. But then Jason was getting rough with Eric because he was feeling turned on.

SPECIAL: The fight for vampire equality in True Blood has been interpreted as an allegory for the LGBT rights movement. After becoming a vampire Russell spent centuries traveling the globe, and was almost killed in Julius Caesar’s Gallic Wars, before traveling to the Roman province Judea, but was soon forced to flee, due to the Jewish uprising against the Romans. During this time he apparently met Jesus, disparagingly calling him a mere “dirty hippie”.
