TORKA ALDRIG TÅRAR UTAN HANDSKAP (Int. Title: Don’t ever wipe tears without gloves) is a three-part Swedish TV series from 2012. The three-part drama was produced by Sveriges Television and first aired on SVT1 on October 8, 15 and 22. 2012. In September 2013, it was announced that the BBC had bought the series and the first episode aired on BBC Four on 2 December 2013 to mark World AIDS Day. TORKA ALDRIG TÅRAR UTAN HANDSKAP consists of 3 episodes of 58 minutes.
STORY: A drama about the impact of AIDS on the gay community of Stockholm in the early 1980s. It is based on Swedish novelist Jonas Gardell's trilogy of the same name, with each episode covering one of three novels subtitled Love, Sickness and Death.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: A story of love and death. Rasmus (Adam Pålsson), 19, escapes to Stockholm and finds love with the religious Benjamin (Adam Lundgren) just as the AIDS epidemic hits the city's gay community.
