STORY: The series revolves around the ins and outs of a ballet school in Chicago, targeting the school's students, instructors, administrators, and benefactors. It charts the rise and fall of young adults living far from their homes, each on the brink of greatness or ruin. The dancing in the show is performed by the actors themselves, not doubles.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Shane McRae (Brennan Clost) is an openly gay dancer who secretly sleeps with his roommate, Oren Lennox (Barton Cowperthwaite). Oren is a dancer with an eating disorder and Shane's roommate with whom he secretly shares a bed.
