TINSEL TOWN is a television drama co-produced by BBC Scotland and Raindog/Deep Indigo Productions. It ran for two seasons, the first debuting on BBC Two in 2000 and the second broadcasting on BBC Choice the following year. Developed by Raindog, the series was created by Robbie Allen, Stuart Davids and Martin McCardie. TINSEL TOWN consists of 13 episodes of 42 minutes.
STORY: Set in the city of Glasgow, Scotland, it is about the lifestyle of eight main characters who each visit Tinsel Town nightclub.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: It's about the love affair between a police officer Lewis Reid (Stevie Allen), who is in his mid to late thirties, and Ryan Taylor (). When PC Lewis Reid discovers he's been sleeping with someone still in school, he reacts with horror and tries to end the affair. But the young man continues to hunt him.
