SKAM NL was a Dutch series for young people that was broadcast both online and via a television channel from September 2018 to June 2019. The series was a remake of the successful Norwegian Skam, which means 'shame' in Norwegian. The series consisted of individual uploads that appeared on YouTube throughout the week. At the end of the week, these clips were merged into one episode and broadcast on NPO 3. In September 2019, Skam NL announced that there would be no third season due to budget constraints. SKAM NL consists of 21 episodes of 25 minutes.

STORY: The story of a group of teenagers at a secondary school in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Lucas van der Heijden (Florian Regtien) is a main character in the first and second season of Skam NL. He is a member of the Boy Squad and studies at St Gregory College. Lucas is based on Isak Valtersen from the original Skam series. Kes (Reiky de Valk) (based on Jonas in the original) is a good friend of his. Lucas: 'My boyfriend has to be perfect, he has to be stylish, smart, creative and great...' Kes stumble into the room with a hangover.
