SKAM is a Norwegian teen drama streaming TV series about the daily lives of teenagers at Hartvig Nissen School, a grammar school in the affluent Frogner neighborhood in Oslo's West End. It was produced by NRK P3, part of the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK. SKAM consists of 43 episodes of 30 minutes
STORY: Skam follows a new main character each season. Each season focuses on certain topics ranging from relationship issues, identity, eating disorders, sexual assault, homosexuality, mental health issues, religion, and forbidden love.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Isak Valtersen (Tarjei Sandvik Moe) is the main character in the third season. Noora (Josefina Frida Pettersen) and Eva (Kristina Ødegaard) find homosexual pornography on Isak's phone, raising suspicions about his sexual orientation. Isak struggles to accept his sexuality. He meets Even (Henrik Holm) and the two quickly fall in love and start seeing each other in secret. Isak unknowingly pushes Even (who has bipolar disorder) away by revealing that he doesn't want to be around people with mental disorders, due to his traumatizing experiences with his mentally ill mother. After wrestling with his feelings for Even, Isak decides to come out to his best friend Jonas (Marlon Valdés Langeland), and eventually to other people with whom he has a close bond.
