SEARCH PARTY is an American satirical dark comedy thriller. The series follows a group of friends who become involved in the search for a missing young woman and the events that follow from their involvement. The series premiered on TBS on November 21, 2016. SEARCH PARTY consists of 50 episodes of 24 minutes.

STORY: The series depicts the lives of Brooklyn resident Dory Sief (Alia Shawkat), her passive boyfriend Drew Gardner (John Reynolds), flamboyant show-off Elliott Goss (John Early), and flighty actress Portia Davenport (Meredith Hagner). Serving as a contrast to the group is Dory's ex-boyfriend Julian Marcus (Brandon Michael Hall), a journalist whose blunt nature frequently puts him into conflict with others.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Elliott Goss  (John Early) stand out as the best character of the show is the fact that he's a compulsive liar. At first, he appears in the show as another typical "gay BFF" trope done numerous times in media, but John Early brings an amazing twist to the character as Elliott by turning him into a sociopathic schemer. One of the funniest and best running storylines with Elliott is the relationship with his on-again, off-again boyfriend Marc (Jeffery Self), turning him into an unsuspecting victim in the most ridiculously nightmarish relationship.

Elliott Goss (John Early) & Marc (Jeffery Self)

JOHN EARLY (2016-2022) January 21, 1988, Nashville, TN, USA

JEFFERY SELF (2016-2022) February 19, 1987, GA, USA

SPECIAL: Elliott Goss may the gay best friend’s final deconstructed form. Stripped bare of his antics and uprooted from sunnier comedic spaces, he’s here pared down to a clownish demeanour and a self-serving narcissism, a satirical figure as funny as he is terrifying.
