SA RAISON D' ÊTRE is a television mini-series directed by Renaud Bertrand on a screenplay by Pascal Fontanille and Véronique Lecharpy, broadcast for the first time on France 2 on March 26 and April 2, 2008. SA RAISON D' ÊTRE conssists of two episodes of 100 minues.

STORY: The story begins in 1981, with Bruno (Nicolas Gob), Isabelle (Sophie Quinton) and Nicolas (Michaël Cohen), all three of whom are in their twenties. It was also the time of the discovery of AIDS. Bruno loves Isabelle, Nicolas's sister, who is pregnant by another man. Nicolas secretly loves Bruno.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: During an attack, Isabelle (Sophie Quinton) dies, leaving her son Jérémy unrecognized by his father, and Bruno (Nicolas Gob) is seriously injured. Nicolas (Michaël Cohen) decides to raise, together with Bruno, Jérémy , who considers him his own son. But some time later, Bruno learns from a nurse friend, Nadia, that the blood transfused into him after the attack was contaminated with HIV...
