RAMSES is a Dutch miniseries directed by Michiel van Erp with script written by Marnie Blok. With Maarten Heijmans in the role of Ramses Shaffy. RAMSES consists of 4 episodes of 50 minutes.
STORY: A chronicle of the rise of legendary Dutch singer Ramses Shaffy, from his early days as a stage actor in Amsterdam in the late 1950s to his rise as a national music icon over the next two decades.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Joop Admiraal (Thomas Cammaert) has been in a relationship with singer and actor Ramses Shaffy (Maarten Heijmans), with whom he traveled to Rome in the early 1960s in search of interesting film work (the letters they wrote to their mutual friend Shireen Strooker were written in 2004). published).
