THE OLD GUARD is a 2020 American superhero film directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Greg Rucka, based on his comic book of the same name. The Old Guard was released on Netflix on July 10, 2020. THE OLD GUARD consists of 1 episode of 2 hours and 5 minutes.

STORY: Andromache "Andy" by Scythia (Charlize Theron), Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts), Yusuf “Joe” (Marwan Kenzari), and Nicky (Luca Marinelli) are ancient warriors with inexplicable regenerative healing abilities who use their vast experience to work as mercenaries and carry out missions take action to help people. Breaking their rule of never working for the same employers twice, they accept a job from former CIA agent James Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to rescue a group of kidnapped girls in South Sudan. During the mission, which turns out to be a ruse, they are ambushed and killed. After quickly recovering and killing their attackers, they realize that Copley tricked them and remotely filmed their regeneration.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: In this Netflix movie, Marwan Kenzari plays the immortal hero Yusuf "Joe", who has been with his friend NIcky (Luca Marinelli) for centuries. When Joe is asked if Nicky is his boyfriend, he gives a very nice answer.
