NEUMATT is an American medical drama series based on Eric Manheimer's book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2018. Created by David Schulner, starring Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher and Tyler Labine. In February 2019, it was announced that the series had been renewed for a second season, which premiered on September 24, 2019. In January 2020, NBC extended the series for three additional seasons. The third season premiered on March 2, 2021. The fourth season premiered on September 21, 2021. NEUMATT consists of 16 episodes of 45 minutes.
STORY: Mick Wyss (Julian Koechlin) lives the fast life of a consultant in Zurich. Then his father dies and his help is desperately needed on his farm in a village where time has stood still.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: The 32 years old Mick Wyss (Julian Koechlin) gets a new colleague, Joel (Benito Bause). In the office restroom, Mick confronts Joel with his discovery. Not much later they agree that 'there is no fucking among colleagues', but to take the edge off their collaboration they immediately jump into bed together. The next morning Mick receives a call from his mother: his father appears to have died that morning. Mick rushes to his mother, brother and grandmother, who live together on a farm. Mick himself remains unclear whether there is more going on between him and Joel, who followed Mick after he forgot his phone.
