MOTIVOS PERSONALES (Int. Title: Personal Motives) was a Spanish-language mystery thriller television series produced by Round Productions, Globomedia and Picasso's Studio and distributed by Warner Bros.' international unit. The show ran for 2 seasons between February 1 and December 13, 2005 and aired on Telecinco. MOTIVOS PERSONALES consists of 27 episodes of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
STORY: The story begins at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Acosta Laboratories. Everything seems to be going well until the secretary to the president of the labs, Mara Yimou, appears dead against a glass ceiling in the building. Initially, the evidence points to the perpetrator being Arturo Acosta (Pedro Casablanc), the husband of journalist Natalia Nadal (Lydia Bosch). During the trial, he is found guilty and thrown in jail. Natalia later finds out from a video that the verdict was based on false evidence, but when she goes to tell her husband in prison, she discovers that her husband committed suicide. Now she is looking for answers.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Miguel Ángel Silvestre, as his first major role, was immersed in full-on gay romance. His character Nacho fell in love with Jaime Acosta (Jan Cornet). He left us a tele-momentum: a first meeting in the shower and a somewhat tense gay kiss.
