MIT HERZ UND HANDSCHELLEN (Int. Title: With Heart and Handcuffs) is a German TV crime series. The pilot episode was first broadcast on October 28, 2002. MIT HERZ UND HANDSCHELLEN consists of 22 episodes of 45 minutes.

STORY: Leo Kraft (Henning Baum) is chief inspector at the Munich criminal police.. His colleague, Chief Inspector Nina Metz (Elena Uhlig), is initially constantly looking for the right man. She later enters into a relationship with public prosecutor Dr. Florian Gassner (Christian Kahrmann). Professionally, Leo and Nina make a good team and also resolve complicated cases.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Love or career. Chief Inspector Leo Kraft (Henning Baum) not only fights against Munich's criminal world, but also against the impending end of his relationship with his partner musician Thorsten (Martin Rapold). He initially lives with Thorsten, in a single-family house. The relationship breaks down over the course of the series, and his ex-boyfriend Bernd Fabrius (Holger Stockhaus) later moves in with him again.
