IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA is an American sitcom that premiered on FX on August 4, 2005 and moved to FXX from its ninth season in 2013. It was created by Rob McElhenney, who co-developed it with Glenn Howerton. IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA consists of 172 episodes of 22 minutes.
STORY: The series follows the exploits of "The Gang", a group of narcissistic friends who run the Irish bar Paddy's Pub in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
GAY COUPLE STORY: Ronald "Mac" McDonald (Rob McElhenney) is one of the co-owners of Paddy's Pub and also acts as a bouncer. He is Dennis' high school friend and later roommate. Mac is Roman Catholic, although he often holds strong Christian fundamentalist views, despite his often amoral behaviour, such as casual sex with numerous women, including Dennis' mother. Although it is often suggested that Mac harbours homosexual feelings, he stubbornly continued to deny such a tendency until it came out in Season 12. Subsequent episodes reveal that Mac is sexually attracted to his best friend Dennis. Dennis Reynolds (Glenn Howerton) is co-owner of Paddy's Pub. In Season 10, he is diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, although he often denies it, believing that he is completely rational and convinced that he is in complete control of everything and everyone around him, even going so far as to himself. calls a 'golden God'.
