IT'S A SIN is a British television drama miniseries written and created by Russell T Davies and developed by Red Production Company. The five-part series is set in London from 1981 to 1991. IT'S A SIN consists of 5 episodes of 48 minutes.

STORY: The series follows a group of gay men who move to London in 1981. They are a close group of friends, but the rapidly evolving HIV/AIDS crisis in the UK is having an impact on their lives. Five episodes show the group living a full decade through 1991 as they are determined to make the most of life despite the threat HIV poses to them. It's a Sin has a main cast consisting of Olly Alexander as Ritchie Tozer. Omari Douglas as Roscoe Babatunde and Callum Scott Howells as Colin Morris-Jones. The series premiered in the UK on Channel 4 on January 22, 2021.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Welsh actor Callum Scott Howells was cast in his first television role as Colin Morris-Jones, a gay man from Wales. Colin moves to London with a dream of becoming a Savile Row tailor. In the first episode, he discovers his sexuality with the help of his friend and mentor Henry, who is played by How I Met Your Mother legend Neil Patrick Harris. He is having a secret relationship with closeted Ross McKenzie (Dan Linney), the son of his hostess.

SPECIAL: Callum has told PinkNews that he identifies as queer, and the creator of It's A Sin, Russell T Davies, has spoken out to ensure gay actors play gay roles in the series, which Callum says is "something that needs to be celebrated in this show".
