INNOCENT is a British anthology television series, produced by TXTV productions, which first aired on ITV for four consecutive nights between 14 and 17 May 2018. INNOCENT consists of 8 episodes of 45 minutes.

STORY: The first series stars Lee Ingleby as David Collins, Daniel Ryan as Phil Collins, David's faithful brother, Hermione Norris as Alice Moffatt, and Adrian Rawlins as her husband, Rob Moffatt. The second series, which will air in 2021, will star Katherine Kelly, Andrew Tiernan, Priyanga Burford and Jamie Bamber. David Collins (Lee Ingleby) fights to rebuild his shattered life when, after spending seven years in a maximum-security prison, his conviction for the murder of his wife is overturned.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Matty's mom claimed it was a one-night stand and she didn't get the name of the guy she slept with, who got her pregnant. It was Sam Wright (Jamie Bamber) who killed Matty, Sally's (Katherine Kelly) ex-husband and Karen's (Priyanga Burford) fiancée. He had a secret relationship with Matty before killing the teen in anger when the latter threatened to tell Sally all about them. The police discovered that Sam had paid for an Amazon gift card for Matty and Sally discovered a written imprint on the back of a photo, which showed that Matty had sent Sam a threatening note. Sam tearfully confessed to Sally that he had always been gay, but was too embarrassed to come out.
