HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (often abbreviated as HIMYM) is an American sitcom created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays for CBS. The series ran from 2005 to 2014. How I Met Your Mother is a joint production of Bays & Thomas Productions and 20th Television and syndicated by 20th Television (now a subsidiary of Disney-ABC Domestic Television). HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER consists of 208 episodes of 22 minutes.

STORY: The series follows the main character, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) with his group of friends in Manhattan in New York City. As framing of the series, in the year 2030, Ted (narrated by Bob Saget as Ted Mosby) tells his son Luke and daughter Penny the events from September 2005 to May 2013 that led to him meeting their mother. We follow his love life as a single man.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: The episode of "Mother" featured a very funny James (Wayne Brady) as the gay brother of Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), the womanizer and the series focuses on Barney's unwillingness to accept that his brother is in a relationship. Barney remains in denial, insisting his brother is still a swinging bachelor, despite countless relationship cues. James is in a relationship with Tom (Jai Rodriguez) and they even have a child together.
