HOLLYWOOD is an American streaming miniseries. Created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, it was released on Netflix on May 1, 2020. The series received 12 nominations at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, including acting nods for Pope, Taylor, McDermott and Parsons, winning two. hollywood consists of 7 episodes of 50 minutes.
STORY: The miniseries is about a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers who try to fulfill their dreams during Hollywood's Golden Age in the post-World War II era.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Roy Fitzgerald / Rock Hudson (Jake Picking) is a fictionalized version of the actor and Archie's friend. Archie Coleman (Jeremy Pope) is an aspiring black screenwriter who clashes with prejudice and is Roy's friend. African-American Archie meets - and then falls in love with - a clumsy, but handsome, Midwesterner young man... a man who eventually takes the pseudonym Rock Hudson. They become part of an unlikely group that gathers around Archie and take advantage of a unique opportunity to make a ground-breaking film, literally rewriting history.
