THE HAVE AND THE HAVE NOTS

THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS (sometimes referred to as The Haves and Haves Not and abbreviated as HAHN) is an American crime drama and soap opera created, executive produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry. The premise of the series is based on Perry's 2011 play of the same name. THE HAVE AND THE HAVENOTS consists of 215 episodes of 42 minutes.

STORY: Centres on the rich Cryer and Harrington families (the haves) and the poor Young family (the have nots) whose lives intertwine when Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) starts working for the Cryers.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Jeffrey Harrington (Gavin Houston) fears that his sexuality and emotional instability will lead to his downfall. To make matters worse, Jeffrey's mother disapproves of his sexuality. At one point, Justin Lewis (Nicholas James), suspicious officer, tries to rape Jeffrey. At another point, he threatens to kill Jeffrey after harassing him. He later becomes nicer and enters a sexual relationship with Jeffery but clearly is obsessively jealous and very possessive.
