GOSSIP GIRL is an American teen drama series based on Cecily von Ziegesar's novel series of the same name. Developed for television by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, it aired on The CW Network for six seasons. GOSSIP GIRL consists of 121 episodes of 42 minutes.
STORY: The series revolves around the lives of privileged upper-class teenagers living on the Upper East Side (UES) of Manhattan. The series begins with the return, after a mysterious absence, of Upper East Side teenage "it girl" Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively). Reuniting with her boyfriend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and her mother Lily (Kelly Rutherford), she also meets Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), an aspiring writer from Brooklyn who is one of Serena's biggest love interests on the show.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: In season 2 Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo), older brother of Serena, is dating Jonathan and in season 3 he is in a relationship with Elliott (Luke Kleintank), but he breaks up in season 4. Eric was in Japan and meets his potential love partner Elliot there on Nate's birthday. Eric wonders if Elliot is gay and discovers during the wedding reception that he has a girlfriend. Elliot then confides in Eric that he is bisexual. This indicating that Eric still has a chance with him. Especially when Elliot tells him that his girlfriend left him out of jealousy.
