GETAWAY

GETAWAY was launched as first web drama by Dear Straight People, a Singapore LGBTQ+ platform. Sean Foo, founder of Dear Straight People, told numerous stories from the LGBTQ+ community in the form of articles and documentaries. GETAWAY consists of 5 episodes.

STORY: After his coming out goes horribly wrong, Singaporean Sam (Sean Foo) jets off to Bangkok to search for his exiled gay uncle.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: The series follows a man Sam (Sean Foo). After coming out to his conservative father, which goes horribly wrong, Sam heads to Bangkok in search of his uncle, who was similarly disowned for being gay many years ago, for guidance. There, Sam meets Top (Naliang Paween), a hopeless romantic who has been unlucky in love. While searching for Sam's uncle, the two grow closer together.
