STORY: Set in Victorian England, the series follows Lord Reginald (Adrian Proszowski) and Lady Vanessa Favershum (Amanda Barker), a gay man and lesbian woman who enter into a marriage of convenience in order to keep their true desires a secret – and then they help each other hook up. It’s Downton Abbey meets Queer As Folk as Reginald and Vanessa manœuvre through sexual escapades and dangerous secrecy, knowing that the slightest slip up could cause their entire world to come crashing down.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Lord Reginald (Adrian Proszowski) is gay, and Lady Vanessa (Amanda Barker) is a lesbian. Their marriage allows them to hide their true proclivities from society while indulging in them privately. To add to the intrigue, they have a butler named Henry (Robert Watson) and a maid named Agatha (Rebecca Perry) These loyal servants serves their masters to all their needs and cover for their masters when decorum requires it. So, while the world believes they’re a conventional couple, behind closed doors, they’re living their authentic lives.
