FREERIDGE is an American teen comedy-drama series created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, Jeremy Haft, Jamie Dooner, and Jamie Uyeshiro that premiered on Netflix on February 2, 2023. It is a spin-off of On My Block. In April 2023, the series was canceled after one season. FREERIDGE consists of 8 episodes of 30 minutes.
STORY: A group of friends may or may not have unleashed a deadly curse, starting a new adventure.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Cam (Tenzing Norgay Trainor) appears to be highly codependent, but overall optimistic. Throughout the series, he struggles with expressing his emotions which leads to strained relationships with his boyfriend, Andre (Zaire Adams) and friend, Demi (Clara Riley Wilson). It came to that point where he felt comfortable telling Demi about his bisexuality and identity. He has a hard time expressing his own wants and needs in his relationship, whether he wanted Andre to stay or break up with him to give him some space and time to think.

SPECIAL: Cam is shown to be an out and proud bisexual prior to the start of the series. At the start of the show, he has a boyfriend, Andre, and throughout the series has and had developing feelings for Demi since they were twelve years old. He struggles with some sort of accepting his identity, but his friends are aware and accepting of him being bi.
