THE FLASH is an American superhero drama series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, broadcast on The CW. THE FLASH consists of 184 episodes of 43 minutes.
STORY: The series is based on the Barry Allen incarnation of DC Comics character Flash, a costumed superhero crime fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off of Arrow, existing in the same fictional universe. The series follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), a crime scene investigator who gains superhuman speed, which he uses to fight criminals and others who have been given superhuman abilities.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 1: Chief David Singh (Patrick Sabongui) is the Chief of Police of the Central City Police Department and Rob's husband (Jeremy Schuetze). Despite David's serious attitude, he has a romantic side. For example, he mentions that his boyfriend is trying to encourage him to eat better and when he says that they are now engaged, it suggests that he is more than capable of maintaining a relationship as well. After being married for over six months, David appears to have matured a bit and show a less abrasive side to others.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 2: Ray (Russell Tovey) grew up wanting to rebel against his living situation and sneaks out only to meet a couple of teenagers and his powers manifest for the first time. In what some have dubbed the best LGBT moment in recent television, his sexuality was kept as gay as he was shown to be in a relationship with Leo Snart, the Earth-X doppleganger of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) While Ray was never seen again in live-action after the crossover, Leo remained as a member of the Legends of Tomorrow where their relationship was developed further by Leo announcing his intentions of marrying his long-term partner.

SPECIAL: Wentworth Miller has also joined the show, and will play Flash nemesis Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold. Leo is the third openly gay character on DC's Legends of Tomorrow after Lindsay Carlisle and Todd Rice. He is also the fourth openly gay character on The Flash after Hartley Rathaway, David Singh, and the latter's husband.
