ÉLITE (stylized as É L I T Ǝ) is a Spanish thriller teen drama television series created for Netflix by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona. Elite explores concepts and themes related to teen drama, but also includes progressive issues and shows other sides of the clichés and shows many different sexual themes. ÉLITE consists of 64 episodes of 1 hour.
STORY: Set in Las Encinas, a fictional elite high school, the series revolves around the relationships between three working-class students enrolled at the school on scholarship and with their wealthy classmates.
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Ander Muñoz (Arón Piper) (seasons 1-4) is the director's son who falls in love with Omar (Omar Shanaa). Aaron is a star athlete and is under constant pressure from his parents to excel at everything he does. This forces him to use drugs. He is driven to get what he wants while caring deeply about the people who matter most to him. He is gay. In Season 4, he and Omar have a love triangle with Patrick (Manu Rios). Omar Ayuso is Omar Shanaa and falls for Ander against his father's will. He is still in the closet wrestling with the conflict between pleasing his parents and his true feelings. He deals in drugs to earn money to leave his parents. He is shy, detail-oriented and best friends with Samuel. In Season 3, he resumes his school studies and enrolls at Las Encinas.
