DAYS OF OUR LIVES (also stylized as Days of our Lives; simply called Days of DOOL) is an American daytime soap opera that airs on NBC during the day. It is one of the longest-running television programs in the world, broadcasting almost every weekday since November 8, 1965. The series was created by the team Ted Corday and Betty Corday. DAYS OF OUR LIVES consists of 14884 episodes of 1 hour.

STORY: The series is set in Illinois in the fictional town of Salem and focuses primarily on two families, the Brady and the Horton families. But other families are also strongly represented, including the DiMera and Kiriakis families.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: In June 2011, on the day of his graduation from high school, Will (Chandler Massey) meets openly gay Sonny (Freddie Smith) through their mutual cousin, Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi). In 2014, Sonny proposes to Will (now played by Guy Wilson). Will initially refuses to wait for the right moment, but he soon accepts. Their wedding will be celebrated on April 3, 2014 at the Kiriakis mansion.

The pair were originally played by actors Chandler Massey as Will and Freddie Smith as Sonny, which brought the pair acclaimed popularity. Actor Guy Wilson took over the role of Will from January 2014 to October 2015. With Will's controversial and criticized passing, he was brought back to life. In September 2017, Massey returns as Will. On the Internet, the couple is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau "WilSon".
