THE CROWN is a historical drama series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, created and primarily written by Peter Morgan and produced by Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television for Netflix. THE CROWN consists of 60 episodes of 1 hour.

STORY: The first season spans the period from Elizabeth's (Claire Foy) marriage to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (Matt Smith) in 1947 to 1955. The second season spans 1956 until the birth of Prince Edward in 1964. The third season runs from 1964 to 1977. The fourth season runs from 1979 to the early 1990s and includes Prince Charles' (Josh O’Connor) marriage to Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin).The fifth season spans 1991-1997 with 1992 Queen Elizabeth’s ‘Annus Horribilis”. The sixth covers 1997 till 2005 with the tragic death of Princess Diana.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: A documentary tells of Tony Armstrong-Jones (Matthew Goode), who was husband to Princess Margaret and brother-in-law to Queen Elizabeth, that he had a charm that attracted Margaret despite her initial belief that he is most likely gay. In his "avant-garde," Armstrong-Jones, later Lord Snowdon, juggled his several lives with extreme skill. He was bisexual. The royal husband is portrayed in the series in a bisexual threesome with married couple Jeremy (Ed Cooper-Clarke) and Camilla Fry (Yolanda Kettle).
