LA CASA DE PAPEL (Translate: The House of Paper  Int. Title:  Money Heist ) is a Spanish heist crime drama television series created by Álex Pina. The series is critical acclaim for its sophisticated plot, interpersonal dramas, direction, and for trying to innovate Spanish television. LA CASA DE PAPEL consists of 42 episodes of 1 hour.

STORY: The series traces two long-prepared heists led by the Professor (Álvaro Morte), one on the Royal Mint of Spain, and one on the Bank of Spain, told from the perspective of one of the robbers, Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó). The narrative is told in a real-time-like fashion and relies on flashbacks, time-jumps, hidden character motivations, and an unreliable narrator for complexity.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE:  Andrés de Fonollosa aka Berlin (Pedro Alonso) is a terminally ill jewel thief and the Professor's second-in-command and older brother. as Martín Berrote aka Palermo / The Engineer (Rodrigo de la Serna) is an old Argentine boyfriend of Berlin who planned the robbery of the Bank of Spain with him and assumed his place as commanding officer. It was revealed that Berlin loved Palermo, too. He even told Palermo that they were soulmates and how their connection was something Berlin had never shared with any of the women he’s been with.
