BROTHERS & SISTERS is an American family drama television that aired for five seasons on ABC from September 24, 2006 to May 8, 2011. The series aired on Sunday nights after Desperate Housewives. Brothers & Sisters consists of an ensemble cast led by Sally Field as Nora Walker, with Rachel Griffiths as Sarah, Calista Flockhart as Kitty, Balthazar Getty as Tommy, Matthew Rhys as Kevin and Dave Annable as Justin Walker, her grown children. Field won both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performances throughout the series.  BROTHERS & SISTERS consists of 110 episodes of 1 hour.

STORY: The series revolves around the Walker family and their lives in Los Angeles and Pasadena, California.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys), son of Nora (Sally Field) and William Walker (Tom Skerritt), is one year younger than eldest son Tommy (Balthazar Getty). Furthermore, he is Olivia's (Isabella Rae Thomas) adoptive father; the father of Daniel and the biological father of Elizabeth and Willem II. He is a public defender and former communications director and corporate lawyer. He is the husband of Scotty Wandell (Luke MacFarlane). Scotty Wandell is a restaurant owner and chef.

SPECIAL: In the first pilot, Kevin was named Bryan, a prosecutor played by Jonathan LaPaglia, who was getting ready for a custody battle with the ex-wife he left after coming out. With the second pilot, the character was transformed into a character who has been out of the closet for years, living for years as an openly gay man and recast with Matthew Rhys.
