AJ AND THE QUEEN is an American comedy-drama streaming television series, created by RuPaul and Michael Patrick King. It premiered on Netflix on January 10, 2020. It was cancelled in March that same year. AJ AND THE QUEEN consists of 10 episodes of 52 minutes.

STORY: AJ and the Queen follows Robert Lee "Ruby Red" (RuPaul Charles), a larger-than-life but hapless drag queen who travels from club to club across America in 1986 with her unlikely sidekick AJ (Izzy G.), a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scruffy stowaway of ten years old. As the two misfits travel from town to town, Ruby's message of love and acceptance leads people to be touched and their lives changed for the better.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE: The 10-episode show follows Robert Lee whose dreams of opening up his own club are ruined when his boyfriend Hector aka Damien (Josh Segarra) runs away with all of his money. Ruby Red embarks on an empowering journey in his RV, where he finds the 10-year-old daughter of his drug-addicted neighbor who decided to stow away on the trip.
