13 REASONS WHY is an American teen drama streaming television series developed for Netflix by Brian Yorkey, based on the 2007 novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. 13 REASONS WHY consists of 49 episodes of 1 hour.
STORY: The series revolves around high school student Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnete) and the aftermath of high school student Hannah Baker's suicide. Before her death, she leaves behind a box of cassette tapes in which she details the reasons why she chose to end her life as well as the names of the people she believes who are responsible for her death
GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 1 : Tony Padilla (Christian Navarro), Clay's best friend at Liberty High who tries to help him to deal with Hannah's death. Before her death, Hannah gives Tony the audio cassettes and holds him responsible for making sure everyone on the cassettes listen to them. Brad (Henry Zaga) is Tony's boyfriend in season 1. In the second season, it is revealed that the couple broke up sometimes between the events of the first and second seasons.

GAY COUPLE STORYLINE 2 : In the most recent season, Alex Standall (Miles Heizer) embarks on a new journey towards embracing his sexuality. Throughout seasons 1 through 3, Alex is depicted having romantic and sexual relationships with women, while the fourth chapter shows the character navigating his attraction to men. Through a brief but emotional bond with a new classmate, Alex discovers more about his own identity, and continues to explore further as the season goes on. Ultimately, Alex ends up in a relationship with Charlie St George (Tyler Barnhardt), quarterback of Liberty High School’s football team, who comes out as bisexual towards the end of the 10-episode season. They each have positive, albeit different, experiences while coming out: Charlie has a formal sit-down with his father, while Alex simply brings his new boyfriend home, introducing him to his family at dinner.
